Eagle's Nest on Raven Lake | Panoramic View | Hot Tub & Sauna | Lakefront Escape | Cottage in Dorset
3 Bedroom Cottage in Algonquin Highlands, Dorset
STR24-00003
WHERE THE ROAD ENDS, THE ESCAPE BEGINS
Rise above Raven Lake, where granite meets pine and the forest gives way to endless water. Let the day drift by on the lake. Then sink into the hot tub, surrender to the sauna and watch the stars reclaim the sky.
Three levels of lakefront living offer space to gather, retreat and make the lake your own.
Here, there's room to be together when you want it, and plenty of room to disappear when you need solitude.
THE JOURNEY — FOREST ROAD
At the end of a 2 km private forest road, high above Raven Lake, Eagle’s Nest is a four-season retreat framed by granite, pines and wilderness. The lake stretches below, Crown Land lies beyond the trees, and evenings bring a sky full of stars and the warm glow of the hot tub.
The journey is part of the experience. With every turn through the forest, the pace of everyday life falls away. Then the trees open, the lake comes into view, and you know you’ve arrived.
COTTAGE
Designed for up to six guests, Eagle’s Nest offers three levels of living space, with all three bedrooms on the upper floor.
The primary bedroom is an open-concept loft overlooking the staircase. The two additional bedrooms have partial-height walls that do not extend to the ceiling, allowing the central air system to circulate between rooms.
The bedroom with two twin beds also features a smart TV and shelves of books and games.
The layout suits a quiet escape for two or a getaway with family and close friends.
LIFE BY THE LAKE
Start the morning with coffee on the deck as mist lifts from Raven Lake. Spend the afternoon swimming, paddling along the shoreline or exploring the surrounding forest and Crown Land.
Back at the cottage, gather around the fire, challenge someone to a game of billiards or find a quiet corner with a book.
Adventure when you want it. Stillness when you don’t. Here, the day belongs to you.
WHEN THE WEATHER TURNS
Rain on the windows. A book, a board game or a film on the oversized sofa. Outside, Raven Lake changes with the weather; inside, there’s room to settle in and let the hours pass.
Gather together or retreat to your own corner without feeling far apart.
Some of the best cottage days are the ones spent doing very little.
AFTER DARK
As daylight fades over Raven Lake, Eagle’s Nest takes on a different character. Warm light spills from the cottage, and the softly illuminated walkway leads toward the lakefront.
Step into the hot tub, unwind beneath the open sky and watch the stars emerge, far from the glare of city lights.
Or head back inside and let the evening unfold at its own pace.
No rush. No schedule. Just the quiet of the forest and a little more time to yourself.
FOUR SEASONS, ONE ESCAPE
Summer brings long days on the water. Swim, paddle, fish, explore the shoreline or settle onto the deck and take in the view.
Autumn brings crisp mornings, mist rising from the lake and colour spreading through the surrounding forest. As the evenings grow cooler, return to the warmth of the sauna and hot tub.
Winter transforms the lake and forest into a quieter wilderness. Depending on conditions, enjoy ice fishing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling or skating before returning to the warmth of the cottage.
Spring brings fresh growth, quieter mornings and the forest awakening for another season on Raven Lake.
Every season has its own character. The setting remains familiar, but the view is never quite the same.
CLOSE ENOUGH TO EXPLORE. FAR ENOUGH TO ESCAPE.
Eagle’s Nest feels removed from everyday life, yet the essentials are within reach.
The village of Dorset is approximately 15–20 minutes away by car, with groceries, restaurants, coffee and other supplies.
Explore the surrounding Highlands through hiking, golf, scenic lookouts and seasonal outdoor activities. Algonquin Provincial Park is also within driving distance for a day exploring one of Ontario’s best-known wilderness destinations.
Spend your stay enjoying the cottage and lake, or venture out to discover the surrounding area.
YOUR TIME, YOUR WAY
We prepare the cottage for your arrival and remain available if you need us. Once you’ve settled in, the lake, the forest and the time ahead are yours.
Come for the lake, stay for the stillness—and leave thinking about your next visit before you’ve even left.
ACCESS
Your private keyless entry code will be provided on the day of check-in. During your stay, you’ll have exclusive use of the cottage, waterfront and amenities.
NEIGHBOUR ACCESS
An established lakefront pathway may occasionally be used by a neighbour to access their property
LAKESIDE COMMUNITY
Eagle’s Nest is part of a small lakeside community of approximately a dozen cottages scattered around a secluded bay.
Many owners live elsewhere, so the bay is often wonderfully quiet. At times, you may hear the natural sounds of lakeside life as neighbours and families enjoy their cottages and the water.
